Phase 1: Desk Studies

Desk Top Study Reports comprise of a standalone document suitable for submission to Governing Bodies and Financial Institutions with a DTS being required for a planning condition.

The DTS includes all aspects such as detailed site history, Geology, mining, quarrying, radon gas, hydrogeology, hydrology, flood risk and environmental sensitivity.

From this report, we can look at a level of risk and determine what the geotechnical properties of the underlying ground conditions and the potential contamination associated with historical and current onsite and offsite sources, with recommendations made where appropriate.

The DTS should be completed prior to the implementation of Phrase 2: Ground investigation works.

Phase 2: Ground Investigation Report (GIR)

After Phase 1 has been carried out, Phase 2 will take place, this next investigation will determine the level of risk of the underlying ground conditions with the potential contamination or hot spots and that these are targeted.
